My name is Carolyn Spradlen and I have been in the boarding business for almost 4 decades. I started in 1982 when my husband was training bird dogs. We decided that it would be a good idea to start a kennel, because the hunters were wanting us to keep their dogs for them. So we thought we could put our property to some good use and make some extra money along the way. After a few years, I was boarding everything from ferrets to birds to rabbits to chinchillas. About 30 years ago, I started grooming dogs as a service to my boarding clients.
