Family Pet Medical Center, originally Stockman's Pet Clinic, was established by Dr. Richard Hubbard of Gowrie, IA. In 1995 Dr. Shimkat joined the practice as an associate DVM and served the practice for 12 years before purchasing it in 2007. In 2012 the practice became Family Pet Medical Center and moved to its current location in North Central Fort Dodge.
