About
Owner, Chuck Pate, purchased Wayport Kennels in 1999 after working for the Harlan's since1982. Wayport Kennels was on N. Hwy 37 since the 1960s. Due to the I69 project, Wayport
Kennels was moved to 3234 W. Woodyard Road and became Wayport Pet Resort. Chuck has
been passionate about animals since childhood and has shown dogs in AKC sanctioned events
since the early 1980s winning Best In Shows on Pugs and Chinese Shar-pei. He has finished
many champions in several different breeds. He continues to show his Pugs periodically. And
that love for animals spills over today by caring for your pets while you are away.
