​​​​​​​Pet Care and Surgery Center is the vision of Dr. James Clark of how a full-service veterinary hospital should look and operate.

Dr. Clark grew up in Crawford County attending local schools and then graduating from Pittsburg State University with a Bachelors degree in Biology. With the encouragement of family and friends he applied and was accepted to Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine. After graduating near the top of his class with a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Clark came home to Crawford County and began his career as a Veterinarian.
