Blackwitch Kennels/Farms was founded 1969 by James and Carol Beagle as a training, boarding, and grooming kennel in China, Michigan. We raised Labs and Beagle for hunting and field trails. My husband did all the training and I am the full time groomer at Blackwitch Kennels/Farms.
One of my grooming clients with a Schnauzer mix named Asta Rue decided that Asta Rue did not match her new home that she had purchased on river. She felt she needed a water dog and had purchased a Golden Retriever. She then convinced me to take her little Schnauzer mix, and what a wonderful gift that little dog was. Asta Rue was the funniest little dog, and she lived with me for the next 11 years.
In 1982 we bought are first Mini Schnauzer and Chinese Shar-Pei.
My husband seen a pictures of a Shar-Pei puppy and wanted one of these wrinkled bundles of joy.
So we planned a trip to Ohio to visit Walnut Lane Shar-Pei kennel and bought a adult female named "Candy" Walnut Lanes T'ang Kou.
My daughter Denise was on vacation with a friend when we brought Candy home. When Denise arrived home from her trip she found a funny faced wrinkled Chinese shar Pei girl. Denise was not sure what to think of our newest pets funny looks but quickly fell in love with her and the Chinses Shar-Pei breed.
It was not long before we started showing and breeding our Mini Schnauzer and Chinese Shar-Pei to their Championship.
Which we are still continuing to do still today.
Miniature Schnauzers live a life style, if I were to come back as a dog, I would love to live! They have clean warm places to sleep, good food and several acres of fenced in grassy areas for romping. They also get to take turns sleeping in bed with me. WOW - what a life! Not all dog breeders are alike, but this recipe has worked for me as a dedicated breeder of quality Miniature Schnauzers. I currently have 100 champions and 7 top producers and many more waiting their turn. Visitors are always welcome to see my Miniature Schnauzers.
