My name is Melanie Pieper. I decided to open a daycare and boarding business of my own to be the one who controls how the animals are welcomed and treated. When you work somewhere else, you don't get much say about how it is run. If you don't like the way the animals are treated, you may not be able to get anyone to listen to you to make changes. I decided that the best way to make a change is to be the one in charge. This allows me to make sure that every animal that comes in is treated kindly and with love regardless of type or temperament.
