My grandmother, Kathryn, started grooming dogs back in 1971, in Billerica, MA. while my grandfather, Jack, hammered out a living in the cabinet building/construction industry. Kathryn started "Kathryns Pets" by bathing neighborhood dogs in her kitchen sink.

Roughly, 5 years later they moved to our current location here in Pelham, where Kathryn continues to groom dogs.

The construction industry took a turn for the worse and Gramps decided it was time to focus on my grandmothers passion, her passion being....PETS...... So, even though the construction industry wasn't so hot, Gramps skills were not, he not only built a basement full of "kennels" or "runs", he also opened a pet shop right up the street (known today as Cahill subs)

It wasn't long before my Grandmother passed away and my Grandfather had to make a decision; Keep the pet shop, or continue Kathryn's dream. Thankfully for me, he chose the latter, and I was given the chance to grow up learning and, most importantly, EARNING the privilege of running Kathryn's Pets, continuing the passion and carrying on the tradition of caring for your family members, which all started, in a kitchen sink, in Billerica Ma., in 1971.
