In 1987, Tim and Lauren met and began their education in dog grooming at New York School of Dog Grooming.

Upon graduating from dog grooming school, Tim opened Bark of the Town on Sunbury Street in Millerstown. After marrying and moving into their home, Tim and Lauren added Bark of the Town Kennels onto an addition attached to their garage, then just six kennels, in 1991. After being consistently being booked to capacity and having waiting lists each summer, they built a new 24 run boarding kennel behind their house that opened in the fall of 2004.

Tim and Lauren live happily with their family (including their own dogs and cats!) on the kennel premises. When a pet is dropped off to begin his or her “vacation” the owner can rest assured that their pet will be treated like one of the family.
