Newbury Veterinary Clinic offers boarding services for dogs. Animals are cared for by our clinic and kennel technicians. Runs and cages, including blankets and food and water bowls, are cleaned daily and dogs are walked at least twice a day in the large walking area behind our building. Before boarding, all dogs must be dewormed and up to date on the following vaccines: rabies, DA2PP (distemper combination) for dogs, and canine bordetella. We recommend, but do not require, the canine influenza vaccine. That vaccine, to be effective, must be given at least two weeks prior to boarding and boostered two weeks after the first vaccine. (After that, it is an annual vaccine.) Bordetella must have been given within the previous year.
